Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. You may have noticed, we love wood! The majority of our products are built entirely or part with wood/timber, in order to keep it looking it's best, we have outlined some routine checks below.
- If required, use coasters, placemats and table clothes to protect the finish and risk of damage
- To clean, A light dust with a dry, soft cotton cloth is suitable for day-to-day cleaning on the surfaces
- Clean up spills immediately with a damp cloth
- Be careful not to drag objects across finished surfaces although a little character never hurts.
- Use protective felt on the feet or bases to prevent scratching floors. Some items arrive with adjustable feet/rubber stops already.
- Re-treat waxed or oiled furniture periodically - details will be provided at the point of purchase
- Do not place furniture in direct sunlight as this can cause the finish to fade
- Do not place furniture next to heaters, radiators or vents as this may cause the item to move dramatically.
EXPECT WOOD MOVEMENT
Remember, timber is a natural product and is very much susceptible to movement over its lifetime. We use both air-dried oak and kiln-dried pine timber & although both items have lost the majority of moisture at the time of use, wood being wood will continue to move and develop until finally settling in your warm and cozy home.
To note, following delivery of your order and once situated in your home, you may find movement to start - just know this is all completely normal and expected as it adjusts to its new climate (Your Home).
